About donations

First of all:
every donator will have access to private test server all time during development
every donator will have full power to drive development (feature-requests, task priority, etc)
every donator will have unlimited access to game (after launch)

and.. every donation will be used to improve game
donations can be in money, good ideas, 3d models, etc. :)

Extract game.zip and copy game.exe to game folder (replace existing game.exe)
it will fix recipe numbers in craft (just visual fix, nothing critical :))

Public pre-alpha is launched and server online
For now it work on my home media server and can sometime work not very well, please be patient
I'll be available via email and skype (find me by 'rsklnkv')

I want to inform again (sorry for CAPS) :)  :

THIS IS PUBLIC PRE-PRE-ALPHA :)
this is not even a alpha, and not a beta

* for now i have a plan to add 'Clans' and 'Mobs' in nearest future, i will make a Vote on my blog to decide what to do first

For now server is launched with very small world on it (only 4x4 hexes)
This is only for test purpose, server can handle 1million+ hexes :)

So instructions:
0. start configurator.exe to set options and then start game.exe
1. you can use any login/password combination to register (account will be created automatically), but remember it to continue play in future :)
2. set preffered graphics options in options window (press esc in game) - on my laptop (core2duo & 8800gts high quality shadows works well - make experiments :))
3. inventory&craft tab can be opened by Tab key (you can find Recipe list there too, just click on item name to get recipe preview in craft window)
4. to chat press Enter and type message (only English language supported in chat)

Small info about game:
You can't capture Hex if it already captured by other player
You must protect your Hex from other players till you offline (build Cannons)
You can kill&loot other players (so be carefull)
On neutral Hex every player can gather and build (but don't build Cannons - they become neutral creatures\monsters and kill everyone on this Hex)

Two weeks with no updates. Here is update (video)

So HexaMMO is more than in a month in active development
Today I show a video with Minecraft-like gameplay
This is tech demo of Blocks in HexaMMO, the game is not about it, this is just a part

Real game is owning, PvP'ing, and other MMO-like things but in world built from blocks and buildings :)

Status update

Alot of time was spent to add new BlockEngine, which allows to add numerous blocks and cells in the world
Some experiments with blocks based world (remove hexes and add hex-from-blocks instead)

Thinking about launching public pre-alpha in next few days

Inventory or resources

That is the question :)

Thinking about resources, craft, ...
What is the best - resources (like in StarCraft) or inventory (like in Diablo or WoW)

Both schemes in Hexa right now, but can't decide what is best for Hexa

Moment is come

Today I contacted with NeoAxis developers (engine for HexaMMO) and they confirmed my guesswork - i can't use existing content in HexaMMO (the player model, textures and some objects)

For now i will use this assets, but in nearest future i need a money for buying assets or a guy, who can create them

HexaMMO status update


New night and new changes, the game (its already a game:)) is getting visual improvements. Artist hand is still critical, but there is no chance to get it in nearest future. Few screenshots of early version:

HexaMMO development status

This days HexaMMO is live in own world, somewhere in Google Code, but in some time later it will be available to public.
This MMO will be about players-made hex-based worlds and their expansion in a large scale hex-splitted world in a FPS or TPS view

For now not a much things done, but it's already looks like a real game  with a few cool features
